The Fed is Flying Blind

Splits and Caps Daily: Action for Agents
October 30, 2025
đ Market Move:
Rate Rejection
Hereâs the deal â the Fed trimmed short-term rates by 0.25% (now sitting around 3.75â4%). Normally that would make headlines and get everyone hyped about cheaper mortgages. But this time? Meh.
Why? Because everyone saw it coming. The market had already priced it in weeks ago. In fact, mortgage rates rose slightly afterward â from 6.13% to 6.27%. Thatâs like expecting a sale and realizing the store just âadjusted prices for inflation.â
To make things fuzzier, the government shutdown means key economic data isnât being released â basically, the Fed is âdriving in the fog,â as Powell put it. So Decemberâs next rate move? Anyoneâs guess.
Bottom line:
The Fedâs trying to play it safe while juggling inflation and a cooling job market.
Buyers arenât rushing back; affordabilityâs still a wall.
Builders might catch a small break with cheaper construction loans.
So if you were hoping for a rate drop miracle to revive buyer demand â donât hold your breath. The fogâs still thick.

âThe Talent Codeâ by Daniel Coyle â If youâve ever looked at someone whoâs insanely good at something and thought, âThey were just born that way,â Daniel Coyle is here to slap that idea out of your head. The Talent Code is like a blueprint for skillâshowing you how talent isnât magic, itâs deep practice, ignition, and coaching done right.
Hereâs the part that hits home for agents: mastery isnât about grinding random hours; itâs about focused, deliberate effort. Want to crush your listing presentations, social media game, or negotiation skills? Stop doing more of the same and start doing deep, purposeful reps. Sprinkle in some expert guidance, and boomâyour skill level shoots up faster than you thought possible.
If youâre tired of blaming luck or âconnectionsâ for your results, this book will make you realize the secret sauce is entirely in your control. Read it, apply it, and watch your game transformâbecause talent is learned, not inherited.
Every day you show up, you get a little closer to unstoppable.
