Is the MLS Becoming the Yellow Pages?

📈 Market Move:

Millennial Mistrust

MLS still rules the game… for now. But younger sellers? They're starting to ghost it.

A fresh NAR report shows most homes still hit the MLS — because visibility sells. But millennials (you know, the TikTok-hustling, DIY-generation) are starting to veer off that path. Usage among them dropped a few points, and a surprising chunk of them don’t even know if their home was listed on the MLS. Translation: confusion + experimentation = potential chaos.

Meanwhile, boomers are running the show on both sides of the deal. They’re selling the most homes and buying the most. Millennials — despite being the largest demographic — took a hit on the buyer side too. Their share dropped nearly 10 points.

And first-time buyers? Also shrinking. Just 24% this year, down from 32%.

So what’s happening? Complexity is creeping in. Private listings, delayed marketing rules, MLS confusion — it’s all adding friction. And in a high-rate world, every extra hurdle is a deal-killer.

This is a signal: simplicity and education are edge plays. Whoever makes buying and selling easy wins the next generation.

📊🤔 Agent Poll Results

On 4/11, we asked: Zillow’s 24-hour rule = post to MLS fast or get blocked. Fair timeline? Or unnecessary rush?

The results are in!

  • ⏱️ 24 hours is generous. No excuses: 100%

  • 🕒 Tight window — not every listing is ready that fast: 0%

  •  🧩 Should depend on the listing strategy, not a blanket rule: 0%

  • 🛋️ Why are we sprinting? It’s real estate, not DoorDash: 0%

Unanimous. Let’s stop talking and start moving.

Sardine Suite: The world’s narrowest house is just 5 feet wide. Perfect if you love living like you’re stuck in an airplane aisle.

📚 Book Recommendation:

"The Unfair Advantage" by Ash Ali & Hasan Kubba—You ever look at someone crushing it and think, “What secret do they know that I don’t?” This book answers that — and flips the script.

The Unfair Advantage isn’t about playing fair. It’s about figuring out what edge you already have and doubling down on it. Not trying to become someone else. Not chasing every shiny new hack. Just using your own life, background, personality, and even your struggles as fuel.

This is the type of book that makes you pause mid-chapter and go, “Wait… I actually have a superpower I’ve been ignoring.”

If you're in the game — especially as an entrepreneur or real estate pro — this is like getting the cheat codes. Spoiler: you already have an advantage. This book just helps you see it and scale it.

You don’t need more time. You need fewer distractions.

Former Zillow Execs Target $1.3T Market

The wealthiest companies tend to target the biggest markets. For example, NVIDIA skyrocketed nearly 200% higher in the last year with the $214B AI market’s tailwind.

Created by Zillow’s founding team, Pacaso brings co-ownership to a $1.3 trillion real estate market. And by handing keys to 1,500+ happy homeowners, they’ve made $100M+ in gross profits.

Now, with aggressive global expansion underway, Pacaso’s ready to grow this disruptive model on a global scale.
