Humans Over Hardware
Consumers still trust agents more than algorithms when it comes to home

Splits and Caps Daily: Action for Agents
May 27, 2025
đ Market Move:
Bonds Not bots
Tech killed the travel agent. Will it kill real estate agents too?
Short answer: Not likely.
At the T3 Leadership Summit, 1000WATT CEO Brian Boero basically said, âLook, people arenât waking up in the morning trying to reinvent real estateâthey just want to buy or sell a home without losing their minds.â
Hereâs the play:
Real estate isnât like booking a flight or hailing an Uber.
Itâs an infrequent, high-stakes, emotional decision.
So while tech has tried to disrupt it, the core experience still leans heavily on human help.
Boeroâs firm did the research:
People want agentsâbut theyâre confused AF about how to choose one.
Nearly half of surveyed consumers said they had no idea what to even look for in an agent.
So while the industryâs safe (for now), Boero dropped a warning:
Agents need to stop coasting. If consumers donât feel understood, someone will build a tool that doesâand then itâs game over.
Bottom line:
Consumers arenât ditching agents for tech yet, but if youâre in the game, you better start thinking like they doâor risk becoming the next Blockbuster.
đQuote of the Day:
"If you aim at nothing, youâll hit it every time." â Zig Ziglar
⥠Quick Win:
â1-Minute Winsâ Video Series: Record a short vertical video sharing one tip you wish every buyer or seller knew. Doesnât need to be polished. The rawer, the better. Post it on TikTok, Reels, LinkedIn. Rinse and repeat weekly. Consistency wins, not perfection.
đ Fun Fact of the Day:
Strategic Staging: Your Brain Literally Likes âStagedâ Homes Better. Neuroscience research shows people perceive staged homes as larger and more valuable, even when the square footage is identical. Basically, staging hijacks the brainâs valuation software.
đ Book Recommendation:
âSuperfansâ by Pat FlynnâYou donât need a million followers. You need 100 people who would riot if you disappeared tomorrow.
Thatâs the whole thesis of Superfans â and Pat Flynn lays out the playbook like heâs handing you cheat codes for building a cult-like following (minus the Kool-Aid).
Most people chase virality. Pat shows you how to create loyalty. How to turn casual followers into raving lunatics who buy everything you launch, tell their friends, and basically become your unpaid marketing team.
Why this hits different:
It's not theory. Itâs tactics you can use TODAY.
It's written by a guy who built a business off trust, not tricks.
Youâll start seeing your audience as humans, not just "traffic."
This oneâs a must if youâre a creator, entrepreneur, or just tired of shouting into the void and hoping someone clicks.
Get it. Highlight it. Build your tribe.
Most people quit at 40%. Keep going.
